Nottinghamshire Families is based near Nottingham city centre and has easy access to the Nottinghamshire Archives and the local studies library. Our work is not restricted to the city, however, as we are central to the rest of the county. We are well placed to visit most of the large cemeteries in Nottinghamshire to find your buried ancestors and photograph their last resting place. We will also transcribe the wording on the gravestone if requested.

We can also visit local libraries and institutions throughout the county to search out information about your ancestors

A written price quote will be given before any work is undertaken. This will detail all costs including extras and expenses, such as travel and any extra photocopies or photographs.

LOCATION PHOTOGRAPHY

If you want a photographic record of locations relevent to your family history Nottinghamshire Families can also provide a photographic service to record gravestones, churches, war memorials or any building relevent to your family history together, where possible, with a full transcription of the engraving on the stones and position in the cemetery etc.

Photographs are taken digitally and saved on to disk or emailed as an attachment in your preferred format for you to print out yourself. Please email for details of prices and formats of photographs.

Starter Tree

We can produce a starter tree to provide you with a good start to your family history research. Begining with your 4 grandparents we will produce a tree to include their parents and their brothers and sisters. The starter tree will include, where available, photocopies of documents to support the information provided. Cost. If all 4 grandparents surnames are known £80.00 If maiden names of grandmothers are not known £90.00

Individual Search

We will research one individual throughout his life, providing photocopies of all availiable documents. Copies of certificates from GRO are charged at cost, currently £9.25 each. Cost. £40.00

Family Search

We will research one set of parents and all their children and provide photocopies of all relevent documents. Cost. £60.00
