All research at the Nottinghamshire Archives and Local Studies Library is charged by the hour with a deposit for the first hour and then in half hour increments thereafter. Research outside the city will also have an extra charge of 1 Hour cover travelling expenses and time. Customers will be invoiced on completion of research. A written price quote will be given before any work is undertaken. Please note that this does not include any photocopies or certificates that are ordered as these will be extra.
Photocopies from the Archives are currently 40p each and birth, marriage and death certificates are £7.00. You will be advised in writing if there are any extra payments because of this or of any other documents you might want copying or photographing.
LOCATION PHOTOGRAPHY
If you want a photographic record of locations relevent to your family history Nottinghamshire Families can also provide a photographic service to record gravestones, churches, war memorials or any building relevent to your family history together, where possible, with a full transcription of the engraving on the stones and position in the cemetery etc.
Photographs are taken digitally and saved on to disk or emailed as an attachment in your preferred format for you to print out yourself. Please email for details of prices and formats of photographs.

For all family history research a deposit of £15.00 must be paid before any work can commence. You will be invoiced for the balance after the research is completed. A written quote for the research to be carried out will be given once details of the research are known.
